LEAP Tampa Bay represented on Tampa’s Workforce Development Committee

Tampa Mayor Jane Castor announced her Workforce Development Advisory Team on July 24, the third of her five-part “Transforming Tampa’s Tomorrow” transition advisory teams.

The Workforce Development Advisory Team is co-chaired by Tim Marks, President and CEO of Metropolitan Ministries and Dr. Ginger Clark, HCC Ybor Campus President and Vice President of Workforce Training.

The Community Foundation of Tampa Bay and the LEAP Tampa Bay College Access Network are represented by Jesse Coraggio, CFTB’s Vice President, Community Impact.

Community Foundation of Tampa Bay Board of Trustees member Oscar Horton also is a member of the 12-member advisory team, which held its kick-off meeting today.

The committee will help guide the mayor for approximately 90 days as she settles into her new role.

Building a strong workforce, able to meet the demands of our local economy in the future, is the core of the LEAP network, which includes partners from government, business, education and philanthropy. The Community Foundation of Tampa Bay, a founding member of LEAP, also supports workforce development as a way to build a more prosperous region.
