The Florida College Access Network (FCAN) recently released new degree attainment “profiles” for all Florida counties and local college access networks (LCANs) in the state, including LEAP Tampa Bay. The profiles help provide a clear picture of where each county and LCAN stands in its effort to advance postsecondary education opportunities for its residents.

Updated with data from the 2017 Census, each profile features general degree attainment trends over a five year period (2013-2017), wage information, and demographic data.

According to FCAN, statewide degree attainment has improved from 45.9 percent to 48.3 percent since 2014, which is 0.7 percentage points ahead of national attainment figures. Over the past five years, the counties serviced by LEAP Tampa Bay, Hillsborough and Pinellas, collectively increased their degree attainment percentage by 2.9 percent to 43.3 percent.

More information about the profiles, along with links to the profiles for all 67 counties and 13 LCANs, can be found on the Florida College Access Network’s website.
